Abstract
The primary purpose of a super sport motorcycle is to enable the rider to enjoy a sporty riding feel on winding roads or the like. The engine must produce high power output and handle easily while being compact and lightweight, in order for it to be mounted on a highly rigid, lightweight, and compact body that has been developed for superior maneuverability. This paper describes the design characteristics associated with the making of lightweight, high power output engines, and outlines a control system based on the perspective of ease of handling.
