Abstract

The aim of this work is to present an original displacement control device based on the use of magnetostrictive material which permits to control micrometer displacement. A finite element analysis associated to an appropriate constitutive law, which takes into account direct and inverse effect of magnetostriction phenomena, is used to design the studied device according to data sheet specification.
