Soft magnetic composites (SMC) are, in principal, a range of materials based on iron powders with an electrically insulating layer on the surface of each particle. The application frequency ranges from 50Hz to 1 MHz, thus a group of iron powders and insulation systems are required. The principal of insulated powders for high frequency core applications has been applied in industry for many years.
