Abstract

The phenomenon of sharply increasing road congestion adversely affects both quality of life and economic aspects arising from transport. Efficient street traffic control at local level for every road junction in particular cannot assure performance at the level of a traffic area. Therefore, it is necessary to coordinate the control actions of the local individual controllers [1]. This paper presents a semaphores coordination method with the aim of improving traffic fluency through a series of intersections by the means of creating a green light.
