Abstract
Targets imposed by the EU to limit greenhouse gases emissions generated by the transport sector made the automotive industry to seek alternatives to change classic vehicles with electric ones. To achieve these goals it takes a rethinking of transportation systems infrastructure. The study aims to analyze the possibilities of adapting the transport system infrastructure in Timisoara, based on the current state by taking under consideration the existing projects and project proposals for development and upgrading. Although for Romania, the electric car is still the car of the future, the transport infrastructure adaptation by building charging stations and changing the roadways, should belong to the present.
