Abstract
Project management is an important tool to initiate, plan, execute and control modern research and industrial projects, in order to obtain best results.
The goal of this paper is to present the main steps that were taken, according to this concept, in a project that had as central objective the design and execution of a single cylinder D.I. Diesel engine used for applications in small households.
The desire of the research team, by this project, was to obtain an engine that comprises all up-to-date experiences in this class of D.I. Diesel engines, from the point of view of technical, energetically and ecological performances.
