Abstract
Some lightweight materials offer the potential for the reduction of vehicle weight in itself would increase the ability to transport and could result in reduced fuel consumption, improved corrosion resistance, which would decrease the need for maintenance. The new family of containing lightweight Al, Mg, Ti alloys, has a lot of favorable mechanical characteristics and physical properties, cast ability and corrosion properties, in correlation definite used field. The objective of paper´s is presentation the selection and processing principle to the alloys for automotive components. At the same time, new systems will most likely be developed that will enable the use of new materials, processes, and designs.
