Abstract

The development of transport systems with hybrid traction offers now the unprecedented possibility to achieve important fuel economy and reduced pollutants emissions by optimal utilization of the two power sources and of the regenerative brake of the hybrid system structure. This could be done by the management and control systems of the hybrid vehicle, which must also provide gentle coupling, without chocks and vibrations, of the mechanisms of the both systems: electric motor and internal combustion engine. This paper presents a control solution of a study bench for hybrid automotive transmission, realized within the ELECTROMET Research Centre, University of Pitesti.
