Abstract
The paper presents a theoretical method to study the torsional natural vibrations generated in the drive trains of four-wheel drive vehicles. A simple dynamic model, containing only equivalent inertial elements (flywheels) and idealized connecting shafts, was used. Computations were made with the data of an experimental off-road car. Part of the obtained results and some conclusions regarding the drivetrain´s dynamic behavior are also presented.
