Abstract
This paper studies the influence that the existence of safe sealant inside tires has on the global level of vehicle vibrations. Several tests, involving different amounts of substance have been made, to the purpose of determining the optimum quantity. The vibration magnitudes at the level of the steering knuckle and the vehicle body have been measured on two directions. The presence of safe sealant inside the tires leads to increases in the level of the steering wheel resonances and, in some cases, these resonances become detectable by the driver. Some decreases in the level of vibrations produced by the tires containing safe sealant inside have been recorded.
