Abstract

The accomplishments in the field of direct injection diesel engines are outstanding, from the point of view of both energetically and ecological results. The desire of the authors is that of building an engine that should comprise all up-to-date experiences of the researchers in this field. This engine is to be used in small households. As a result of the calculus, there are established the main details of the engine mechanism. The theoretical research of mechanical and thermal efforts, by using FEM, allows the constructive optimization. Likewise, a Q-size injection pump is designed to be able to satisfy the requirements regarding the defined injection law. In the paper there are thoroughly presented the steps taken, the products designed and the research´ results.

Keywords: direct injection, monocylinder, air cooling, ecology, performance.
