Abstract

This paper present a experimental method proposed by the authors to determine the evolution of the diesel fuel spray by the measurement of the dimension of the fuel drop, collected with a special device in different moments after the start of the injection process. In our work was used injectors with 3,4 and 5 number of nozzle holes. The aim of this paper was the optimisation of the diesel fuel injection process, by the modification of the number of the injector nozzle holes.
