Abstract

This paper presents some theoretical aspects of fuel direct injection and some experimental results regarding the jet of gasoline and ethanol at different injection and downstream pressures. In the theoretical part there is presented a mathematical model that describes the phenomenon from jet penetration and vaporization. The experimental part presents a comparison between gasoline and ethanol jets.
