Abstract

Abstract:

Mono-cylindrical multiprocessing IC engine operating in "Otto" or "Diesel" engines regimes and using renewable energy sources ethanol and bio-diesel oil needs to have complex mechatronic systems for control of its functions in order to achieve maximum energy efficiency with minimum exhaust emission and to preserve driving characteristics. For multiprocessing engine to function, it is necessary to form a specific algorithm for selection and engagement of corresponding engine operating regime. A proposal for mechatronic system that is necessary to be integrated with the engine in order for engine to have optimal characteristics is given in the paper. Basically, mechatronic system has tri parts: Electromechanical components (sensors and actuators), electronics within Electronics Control Unit (ECU) and software that connects electronics and mechanics. To develop software, it is necessary to perform a series of measurements, based on which, the functional dependencies between operating processes of the multiprocessing engine, specific for selected engine, are determined.
