Abstract
The paper proposes optimization method of the choice of power transmission system purchase in view of vehicle acceleration ability. On the basis of the authors own investigations some contradiction in the basic criterion functions has been pointed out. It has been proved that it is necessary to solve the problem of the choice of gear ratios on the basis of many-sided programming. The poly-optimization procedure with the use of Pareto generation method has been adopted as a proper one to obtain the parameter set of compromise solutions. The proposed method gives the basis for any type of acceleration ability analyses including also various non-standard criteria of vehicle dynamics evaluation.Keywords: car acceleration, transmission system optimization
