Abstract
Bolts, rivets, screws and other revolution profiles obtaining by cold rolling are used in automobile, construction and general machines industries. Their mechanical properties are influenced by the alloy composition and the forming schedule. This paper presents the results of the indentation micro-hardness Vickers testing and the analyze by X-ray diffraction of the crystallographic texture and of the superficial residual stresses, for the helicoids surfaces from BCC steels obtained by cold radial rolling. The study makes evident the hardening of the superficial layer, the crystallographic texture, the dependence of the micro-hardness according to this texture and the distribution of the superficial residual stresses from the flanks of helicoids surface.
