Abstract

Abstract:

The paper presents a study done with a non-linear suspension using FEM. The authors done a frequency analyze of suspension using MSC/NASTRAN, software based on FEM. The elastic and bumping characteristics of the suspension are determined on the test bench. Their values were introduced using spreadsheets in the program. The calculation model used could be extended to a greater number of freedom degrees. The analyze was done up to the value of 25 Hz, because over this value we considered that appear phenomenon due to car body resonance.

Keywords: non-linear, suspensions, FEM, acceleration amplitude.
