Abstract
The paper presents the estimation methods for the movement speed of the cars involved in crashes with contact side traces. There are two methods. The former estimation about the movement speed made on the base of the traces printed on wheel-disks or hubcaps by a side prominence ( e.g. , rear or front guard , rear-wiev mirror, etc. ) . The second method evaluates the movement speed using the traces produced by the retaning nuts of the wheels on the car body. The methods are used as a rapid and efficient tool for the computation of the movement speed of the cars involved in overtaking crashes.Keywords: mathematical modelation, vehicle cinematics, lateral colisions between cars.
