Abstract

Abstract

Basing on the experiences collected by authors in that domain, the chosen problems connected with realisation of SI engines fuelling by means of single point liquid gas injection have been reported in article. There have been presented some subjects as: the choice of injector type, injection timing, the ways of elimination of phenomenon of vaporisation of liquid gas inside the supplying ducts and the anomalies of the mixture building process inside the inlet duct. The suggestions referred to the charge temperature measuring points are also given. Mentioned problems concern the cases of intake manifold injection of the liquid phase of propane-butane, pure propane or pure butane.

Keywords: injection fuelling, SI engine, liquefied gas, propane, butane
