Abstract
The paper presents the pre-deployment of eCall service, which will add more value to 112 European Emergency Service. Particularly, will be presented the HeERO Harmonised eCall European Pilot Project and especially the Romanian Pilot site. Also will be enhanced technical solution used to assure operations and interoperability requirements for harmonizing eCall service across Europe. Ecall is a service that allow, when an accident occur, to send automatically to local PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) a relevant information regarding the accident, through GSM network. The relevant information that contains GPS coordinates, VIN code of vehicle, triggered sensors etc. is embedded into a specific message frame under MSD (Minimum Set of Data) format. The MSD is sent over any available GSM network to PSAP if two or more sensors mounted on the vehicle are triggered.
