The public transport (PT) management system in Belgrade has been defined based on public transport process analysis. A really important part is made by effective Information System (IS). While constructing such IS its basis has a special influence on its quality. The problem analyzed in this paper is: implementation of a valuable database making the link between on-field situation (exact geographical location of facilities on PT lines), vehicles (and drivers) and management (directly, managing and indirectly defining the system). The authors have identified the field survey technology, created mapping database and prepared the decision making process within Belgrade PT.
