The reliability of electronics determines more and more the reliability of the automotive systems. Therefore by designing new architectures reliability must be an important criterion in evaluating different alternatives. The state-of-the-art braking and steering systems serve as the reference of the new designed architecture and the aim is to create such a different system, which has enhanced reliability. The paper demonstrates a complex approach of reliability analysis for redundant systems.
