Abstract

Keywords: vehicle, suspension system, mathematical model, simulation, laboratory testing

The present paper deals with kinematic of drive wheel suspension system when a wheel passes through road irregullarity. This paper sets forth a mathematical model of dynamic behaviour of this system resulting from the road surface disturbance. Further on, it is on the basis of such an established model that the present paper gives a simulation model of suspension system kinematic. Testing of the behavior of drive wheel suspension system and semi-shaft loading of concrete vehicle has been conducted under laboratory conditions when a vehicle passes over specially designed irregullarity. Results obtained on the basis of laboratory tests have been compared with those arrived at by means of the simulation of this system and, based on such a comparison, relevant conclusions about mathematical model reliability have been made.
