The paper presents the integration of CAE into AVL's Engine development process. The aim is to provide an insight into the motivation and requirements for, and the results of, establishing a simulation-driven development process. A specific example will be used to explain which tasks in the process are commonly supported by performing simulations, which tools are used and which results are created.
