Abstract
In order to homologate the superstructure of the buses, the constructor must to make experimental or analytical rollover tests. The ECE regulation defines a standard rollover accident, which is a roll down into a ditch with a given depth, and a minimal survival space. The study of the behavior of the structure under the rollover impact loads shows a valid prediction about the deformation behavior of the body structure during an accident. An analytical test is less expensive. The paper will present how can be performed the rollover test for buses, using FE method.
