Abstract

Abstract

The ever increasing traffic density, larger payloads as well as the higher speed of transport are the result of the continuously growing transport demands, which are unfortunately connected with road accidents as well. However, commercial vehicles account for only approximately 15 to 20% of all road accidents occurring in Europe. The following study deals primarily with the accident type most dangerous for the driver of a transport vehicle: the accident, in which the transport vehicle rollover. Generally, larger importance is being attached to driving dynamics research projects serving improved driving stability in the case of combination of vehicles. A driver may maintain a safe control over his transport vehicle only with the help of better driving techniques, but, on the other hand, this demands training and development training. This study provides a few examples from the practice of the motor vehicle expert.
