Abstracts

Our investigation took place at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics – BUTE - where we looked for possible uses of ethanol or an ethanol-diesel mixture in agricultural engines in Hungary. First we examined the international and the Hungarian experiments and as a second step we selected the appropriate engine and procedure. The investigations were carried out with 15% ethanol content fuel. The greatest benefit of the emulsion is that is reduces the NOx and the particle emissions at the same time, that could be reduced in other cases against each-other only. As conclusion of the research it could be established that the use of bioethanoldiesel oil emulsion in agricultural engines technical are solvable, it doesn’t need any changes on the engine, it reduces the emissions and it is economically justified.
