Abstract

ABSTRACT

First of all, in this paper it is presented the mathematical model of the cross vibrations of a kinematic element with plane translation motion that is a constitutive element of a parallelogram mechanism. By using the Laplace and the Fourier integral transforms, it result the cross displacement fields for two diferent cases: the kinematic element with linear elastic behavior and the kinematic element with viscoelastic behaviore. Cosidering a concrete numerical case, there are presented the cross displacement field diagrams for both situations, argueing the advantages of the tendency to use the viscoelastic materials.
