Abstract

In this paper are presented the scientific preoccupations of the author concerning the analysis of the vibrations of thin plates like those from car bodyworks. Based on specific working hypothesis and parameters wich influence thin curved plates, one can get the mathematical model for the vehicle oscillations for different road conditions. As an example, one can consider the case of a thin plate that is a substitute for the hood and based on this, can get its motion equation. In order to verify the results, both experimentally obtained data and specifically soft were used.
