ABSTRACT

The paper presents an original CAD module developed for design of high performance twin-screw supercharger rotors. This CAD module can be used as a design tool to investigate the relationships and effects of different rotor profiles on supercharger performance for a particular engine system. The CAD module is based on a three-dimensional parametric model of supercharger conjugated helical rotors, which allows integration of the module into commercial CAD software for visualization and interface with suitable Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software for flow analysis.
