Abstract

Dynamical model of the hybrid electric vehicle transmission was constructed. Internal combustion engine and electric motor of this vehicle drive accordingly the rear and the front wheels. The description of particular elements of the transmission was built upon classical transmission elements. Calculating traction force, the range of vertical road reactions, which depends on the vehicle acceleration, is evaluated. Friction coefficient of the tyre and the road is also evaluated. This coefficient is assumed as a function of slip speed and the road vertical reaction. Complete dynamical model of the hybrid electric vehicle is described when vehicle acceleration was modeled with separate driving strategies. Slip speeds of the tyres that appear in the contact of the tyre and the road are calculated using the approximation method. The characteristics of particular transmission elements, essential for the dynamic model, are described.
