Abstract

The suspension system of vehicle is directly influenced to ride and handling. Therefore, suspension system should have enough endurance during its design life to protect passenger. Among the suspension system, leaf spring is one of major part of light commercial vehicle (LCV). When design using domestic test specification, at oversea market, it is difficult to guarantee enough endurance of the leaf spring due to the difference of load and driving conditions. Thus, it is required to develop new leaf spring design and test process of LCV expert version. In this paper new fatigue design method of LCV leaf spring based on damage analysis is proposed. It is expect that the proposed fatigue design method of LCV leaf spring assembly will be good quality control tool and saving cost.
