Abstract
Honda has developed a new compact CVT, which has been installed on the small car FIT. Targets of the developments are to be smaller size, lighter weight, and higher efficiency than Honda's conventional CVT for LOGO. The developed CVT has newly designed flywheel, oil pump, and hydraulic control body. Furthermore, it has the same components of the pervious compact CVT for INSIGHT. In addition, the electronic control changes the shift schedule and creep automatically, which enable both fuel economy and responsiveness.
