Abstract
Weather performance results obtained by standard methods are often inadequate leading to expensive changes in prototypes. When final tests reveal design deficiencies, time and cost considerations generally make it very difficult to improve the sealing performance. EASi-SEAL, an integrated design-evaluation environment by EASi, is changing this trend by identifying design problems in sealing systems early in the product development time and to be a cost-effective, straightforward, design-oriented alternative to the physical tests and to the CAE approach. The application-specific outputs are benchmarked against results from test and from general-purpose software.
