Abstract

In this paper finite element heat transfer analysis model is established for tube -and-fin automotive radiator. Heat transfer performance of tube -and-fin automotive radiator is analyzed. The sensitivity of heat dissipating capacity and core-weight to structural parameters is studied further. And then the structural parameter optimization of the radiator was conducted. Optimal structure parameters of tube -and-fin automotive radiator are determined in given constraint condition. The structural strength of the optimized automotive radiator is validated.
