Numerical Simulation of Air Flow Pattern inside Bus

Abstract

CFD (computational fluid dynamics) method is adopted to analyze airflow pattern inside bus numerically. To calculate more quickly and get engineering satisfied results, a new zero equation turbulence model is adopted to simulate the air turbulent flow inside. The example presented shows that the model can simulate non-isothermal flow well. Then the velocity and temperature distribution inside the bus is numerical predicted by software based on the turbulence model. Both summer and winter condition is considered.
