Abstract
The hybrid technology is thought as the promising technology before pure electric vehicle technology makes important breakthrough. In this paper, a new minimal hybrid powertrain is introduced. Compared with the series hybrid powertrain and parallel hybrid powertrain, its configuration is simpler, its weight is lighter and its performance is better. After the principle of minimal hybrid powertrain is introduced, its model is proposed. Also, a simulation example is given in this paper.
