Abstract
The drive -train of a series hybrid electric vehicle are described and modeled, the configuration of series HEV is introduced and several operation modes of the APU and different control strategies are analyzed. The software used on the performance simulation of series HEV are used basic principles and developed using the integration of Visual C with ADVISOR software. It can helps to choose parameters of SHEV drivetrain and predicts the vehicle dynamic performance, tail-pipe emissions and total distance traveled for S -HEV over a specified vehicle profile. The commonly used LA4 driving cycle is adopted for simulation and simulation results are presented.
