Abstract

More and more requirements are added on engineering vehicle to meet the working condition. Such as big tonnage, high speed, complete ground, credibility, stable performance and so on. To meet these requirements, some special structures are applied in large engineering vehicle. Example that multi -axle drive, multi -axle veer, hydro-pneumatic suspension, hydrodynamic servo braking device etc. With these structures, good brake, veer and power performance can be expected. But this kind vehicle need high cost and large invest with low output and much involving. So, at the design period, we should take necessary estimate on the performance of object and test some assemblies especially safety structures for the purpose of reasonable and credible design. In this paper, we take calculation, analysis and testing validation on the brake performance of one multi-axle engineering vehicle. It is taken as an example to expatiate on the structure factor which influence brake performance and the specificity on the design and calculation of multi -axle vehicle brake safety. The commonness of brake performance of this kind vehicle can be reference in design and research. Taking large multi -axle vehicle for example, the article analysis the structure and brake system of multi -axle vehicle, advances a new method for solving static question, and forecasts the brake performance. It is found that the calculated results are in good agreement with the experiment ones.
