Abstract

for general industrial design. In this paper, we propose a thermal simulation method for vehicle junction block (JB) based on Finite Element Method (FEM). The features of this presentation are: (1) To develop a thermal simulation modeling method, which is simple and easy to move the components of the JB. Meanwhile, it enables to forecast the thermal weak points in JB without experiment; (2) To give the detailed analysis for relay inside heat transfer mechanism; (3) By comparing simulation results with experiment results, this new simulation method can achieve the accuracy by 5 percent relatively, and the design time can be reduced to 50 percent or less. Further considerations for improving the simulation approach of vehicle JB are clarified.
