Abstract
As the expending of application of Al -Li alloys, more and more secondary Al-Li alloys will enter the raw materials market. It would be a valuable modifier of Al -Si alloys to reduce the cost of automobile parts. The processes and mechanisms of lithium modification are discussed in this paper.
