Abstract

In the future supercharging tends to be generally applied to automobiles since this technology is able to improve performances of automotive engine, such as increasing power, good fuel economy, and reducing exhaust pollutants. In general there are several kinds of supercharging. A type of supercharger, Pressure-Wave Supercharger (PWS) is introduced in this paper. PWS has many features allowing it ideally to meet continually increasing demands for driveability, fuel economy and reduction of exhaust emission. In this paper, the CX-102 PWS is matched with 493Q diesel engine made in China. The performance of the 493ZQ PWS diesel engine is shown.
