Abstract

This paper gives a brief account on the constitution, fabric and application in casting die of wear resistant material. Friction between sand grain and die in the process of molding results in abrasion of abrasive particle. The surface strength of metal die can be increased by electric plating, heat processing, CVD, PVD, PCVD, TD etc., in order to extend the lifespan of die. With the prosperity of economic, update cycle of product has been shortening gradually. It has the tremendous socioeconomic benefits to research on the surface technique of complex material die and strengthened die which is low cost, short processing cycle, wear resistant stable dimension fit for mass production of molding auto line, and convenient for maintenance.
