Abstract
Knowledge of the dynamic and properties of polyurethane elastomers is critical to their use in high dynamic stress applications that include automotive belting, roller covers, tires and wheels. This paper introduces those properties and emphasizes on the status of research and application to the liquid reaction-injection-mould (RIM) tire in the world. Polyurethane elastomer can not only improve tire service life, but also benefit the environment. Besides these, the analysis on the development trend of future auto tire and application prospect of the RIM tire are also put forward in this paper.
