Abstract
The new-type stepless transmission described in this paper mainly uses a combination of the integrated-type torque converter and the cluster gear mechanism with the gears in constant mesh, without any control mechanism, to thoroughly realize stepless transmission. The stepless transmission has only three essential gears or the forward gear, neutral gear and reverse gear. The forward gear has three speed ranges, or the low-, high- and over-speed ranges and the running speed of the automobile will continuously change freely along with changes in the external resistance and the opening of the throttle valve .
