Abstract

In recent years, CAE technology has been widely used in automobile industry to shorten vehicle development period and reduce the number of prototypes. Accordingly, more CAE engineers are needed in major automobile manufacturers. The pre/post-processor used today is becoming so easier than before to learn that it takes less time to master the modeling. Infact, it still takes much time for new users to be accustomed with CAE technology who are able to use solvers and analyze the results. So that it is very important to find the way to shorten the training period and reduce the cost for employee education. In these papers, a new navigation system is introduced as a training method and an auxiliary analysis tool in the structural analysis field. The method helps the user, especially for those with a lack of experience, to learn the new CAE technology and rapidly become skillful as a CAE engineer. This method has been applied during the vehicle development activities. Moreover, the navigation system is developed as an element system. Linking to the various pre/post/solver software products, it supplies an approach and an access to them conveniently in progress of CAE technology.
