Abstract

This study evaluates resonant spectrum in a spherical lens. For nondestructive evaluation of a spherical lens, we made of the measuring system by RUS. RUS system is configured of spectrum analyzer, power amplifier, PZT sensor and support frame. To verify the data obtained from the experiment, we have carried out simulation by using explicit finite elements method, and compared the experimental results with simulation results. The average error range is 1~2 percent between the experimental resonant frequency of the fused quartz and the simulated FEM resonant frequency. In the spherical lens, we performed to investigate relationship between frequency measuring parameter(β) and mass of each specimens. β increases as the mass increases.
