Abstract:

Directed against image collection, identification and processing, the author of this paper, after analysis of the structure and function of On-board Information Image Monitoring System, discusses the realization techniques based on DSP, by use of embedded chips in real-time operating system (RTOS). Finally, the author explores the application of radio communication techniques combined with On-board Information Image Monitoring system in ITS. Embedded system is great in processing real-time multitasks in short interrupt response time. As On-board Information Image Monitoring system collects vehicle driving data and images, using embedded system in it can decrease the number of internal codes, reduce the execution time of real-time kernels to minimum and lessen the errors in transmitting and processing data. This is convenient to monitoring and analyzing vehicle driving conditions in real time, which, at the same time, can provide system function with broad extension space.
