Abstract
This paper shows the open-loop analysis of the vehicle with steer-by-wire system. The steer-by-wire system has been described by a new approach called Dual-Port System, which can take account of both steering angle and steering torque simultaneously. It is found that the steering angle controllers affect the steering torque and cause the change in handling feeling. As a result, rather than only steering angle controller, the steering torque controller should be integrated at the same time to preserve good handling feeling. Finally, the analysis results were confirmed by the experiments using driving simulator.
