Abstract

This paper presents a new constitution of intelligent suspension system with MR damper, and establishes a mathematics model of the force-drive current and damp force based on the mix mode of flow mode and shear mode, and describes 1DOF vehicle vibration model with the intelligent suspension system. Based on the theory of random vibration, nonlinear behavior of MR damper model is to be linearization, the expression of equivalent linear damping coefficient is brought forward, and random statistic data of sprung mass acceleration are discussed. On the basis of MATLAB5.3, the effect of driving current on linear damping coefficient and the acceleration power spectral mean square root of the sprung mass is analyzed. The simulation result shows that the force generated by MR damper has nonlinear behavior; the vehicle vibration characteristic can be adjusted by changing the equivalent linear damping coefficient; the acceleration power spectral mean square root of sprung mass can be decreased by increasing the driving current of MR damper, and the ride of automobile has been improved.
